Tyrrells goes miniature for Virgin Atlantic
UK hand-cooked potato chip specialist Tyrrells has collaborated with Virgin Atlantic to develop miniature, red packs exclusive to the flight company.
The 15g ‘Plane Crisps’ use smaller potatoes and are the smallest pack currently produced by Tyrrells.
The product is set for launch on April 8 to coincide with Virgin Atlantic’s new ‘Little Red’ domestic flight routes.
“The challenge for us was to come up with a product that really works at 35,000 feet. That’s why we carefully selected miniature potatoes and then tested their flavor on a Virgin Atlantic flight,” said Oliver Rudgard, marketing director or Tyrrells Crisps.
