Norbert Dentressangle secures Nova Natie facilities
Norbert Dentressangle (ND) has completed the acquisition of the ambient and temperature-controlled warehousing and general cargo freight forwarding activities of Belgian logistics company Nova Natie.

These activities generated a full year turnover of €40m in 2011, claimed supply chain solutions provider ND.

With 250 employees and 120,000 m² of warehousing space, 95% of Nova Natie’s business is carried out from the Port of Antwerp in Belgium, with the remainder at Schipol Airport in the Netherlands.

ND said the acquisition significantly strengthened its logistics business in Belgium.

Nova Natie now employs more than 1,000 colleagues and operates around 230,000 m² of warehousing and a fleet of 200 vehicles. ND expects the Belgian operation to generate additional annual revenues of almost €120m.

ND employs 33,000 employees in 25 countries and chalked up revenues of €3.6bn in 2011.

The firm offers dedicated and shared-user warehousing and transport to manufacturers and retailers, temperature controlled food logistics, reverse logistics, environmental operations management and freight forwarding.

Customers include BirdsEye, Danone Waters and Weetabix.
