The future for detection systems
X-ray and detection systems will need to offer more than just accurate detection in the future, according to Mettler Toledo.
At packaging trade show Emballage in Paris, Eric Bertrand, product manager for product inspection in France, told FoodProductionDaily.com Mettler Toledo's latest developments in x-ray and detection systems reflected future customer trends.
Current areas of high demand included the ability to cut costs and save energy while delivering the same performance, and machines designed to be easier to maintain.
In addition, Bertrand said detection systems that could pinpoint the full range of dense organic and inorganic matter, such as bones as well as metal, in food would be in high demand.
