Amcor has announced the sale of three flexible packaging plants in Australasia to Integrated Packaging for A$22m.

The sites were acquired as part of the global packaging manufacturer’s acquisition of Aperio. Amcor said they were focused on non-core industrial and agricultural markets.

Integrated Packaging is a privately-owned Australian business, and the transaction is subject to regulatory approval by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

In a statement on the move, Amcor said synergies from its purchase of Aperio acquisition would not be impacted by the sale and would remain at $25m after three years of integration.

Despite initial competition concerns, Amcor secured clearance from the ACCC for its takeover of Aperio for A$238m at the end of March and completed the deal in May.
