Food and drink manufacturers with restricted space issues can turn to the latest generation automation FANUC M-710iC robot palletiser from Pacepacker Services for help.

The machine is almost half the size of a typical palletising robot, said the company.

It has the ability to run at speeds of 24 cycles per minute with a 25kg payload and the ability to stack sacks, crates, trays and cartons.

Pacepacker said it could supply the system as part of a new bagging or pick and place line, or retrofit to an existing line, giving manufacturers the opportunity to automate their palletising process in a confined space.

Rail mounted

The FANUC M-710iC can also be rail mounted where floor space is limited, according to Pacepacker.

In addition to its space saving properties, the robot has the ability to stack numerous product types including trays, sacks and crates, without part changeover if the right attachments are fitted.

With a medium payload the system is capable of handling up to 25kg of product, making it suitable for a range of applications including food, agricultural and aggregates.

Range of applications

The M-710iC series is part of FANUC’s latest-generation, six-axis, high-performance family of industrial robots and is suitable for a range of applications,” said Pacepacker’s Business Development Manager, Paul Wilkinson.

As a supplier of bagging, packing and palletising equipment we are frequently faced with requests for high speed solutions, however due to the increase in space restrictions faced by manufacturers it is essential that we incorporate versatile machinery into our equipment portfolio.”
