BASF has announced immediate price increases in Europe for resins and additives for the packaging, printing and coating industries.

The German-based company said prices on its resins and additives would climb by 5-12 per cent as existing contracts allow.

The firm blamed “significantly increased costs of key raw materials” for the price rises.

The move affects, but is not limited to, the following product ranges: Laromer, Joncryl, Basonat, Luwipal, Luhydran and Acronal, said BASF
