Leading trade bodies in the aluminium and flexible packaging sectors have announced the results of their elections.

François Coëffic, of Novelis, has been re-elected president of the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA) for a second term. He will also service as chairman of the body’s Roller Group.

Jan Homan, CEO of Constantia Flexibles, is the newly-elected chairman of Flexible Packaging Europe (FPE).

Coeffic said that sustainability would continue to be the number one challenge for EAFA members – particularly in packaging. The new FPE chief, Homan, highlighted the need for creating an authoritative single voice on food contact and sustainability issues to present to government and European legislative authorities as a priority.
