Munich to stage IBA until 2024
The IBA bakery and confectionery show is to be staged exclusively in Munich, Germany, until 2024.
The trade fair which takes place once every three years, has traditionally been held at differing venues. Most recently it has alternated between the German cities of Düsseldorf and Munich.
But from 2012 to 2024, the expo will be held in the Bavarian capital, announced the German Bakers' Confederation (GBC). The next show is due to take place in 2012.
“With this long-term commitment to Munich as a location for the fair we are laying a solid foundation for IBA as the world's leading trade fair for the baking trades," said GBC president Peter Becker. “In doing so, we are giving exhibitors and trade visitors certainty for their long-term planning.”
