Enjoy reading the breaking news delivered each day by FoodProductionDaily.com? Then, why not help to write the news articles yourself by working as a reporter for this leading website?

If you are a talented journalist, or someone with the ambition to become one, hungry to build a career in reporting food safety, packaging, processing and technical news, then we would like to hear from you.

You will need strong journalistic skills, or the ability to acquire them quickly, analytical focus and a hunger to become a top-performing multi-media journalist adept at reporting online and via videos and audio podcasts. Our journalists produce sharp, tightly written, independent news articles to exacting deadlines – so you must work well under pressure and relish challenges.

We particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience of the food processing and packaging industries or those with a technical or an engineering background.

A formal qualification in journalism is less important than a genuine desire to report on food processing, packaging and health topics for an international audience of 84,500 unique visitors a month.

In return, we offer the opportunity to develop your career in journalism by working with our young, dedicated and talented team of journalists. They will help you build the skills and experience you need to take your career to the next level.

Based in Montpellier, Southern France, the appointment will be for an initial period of six months maternity cover but with the likelihood of full time employment, depending on performance, after that period. Salary will depend on age and experience.

If you would like to join our cutting-edge team, please email a covering letter, explaining why you’re right for the job, plus a CV and relevant cuttings to michael.stones 'at' decisionnews.com. Alternatively telephone 0033 (0) 4 99 52 24 52, in confidence, to discuss your suitability for this role. Only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
