A former senior lobbyist for the American Meat Institute has been appointed the new president of the Reusable Packaging Association (RPA).

Jerry Welcome brings to the RPA more than 16 year’s experience of senior level association management including president and chief operating officer of the International Fresh-Cut Produce Association and vice president of the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute.

I am excited to be back working for a packaging-related association, especially one that is on the cutting edge of supply chain issues and leading a revolution in packaging that is focused on bringing innovation to the market place…..and helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” said Welcome.

The RPA, formerly the Reusable Pallet and Container Coalition, is the leading trade association dedicated to advancing the adoption of reusable packaging systems for greater supply chain efficiencies, increased environmental benefits and reduced costs.
