Friction feeder targets food sector
its friction feeder, entering the food market for the first time.
Advanced Dynamics said it has designed a hygienic version of its KoRa-Packmat friction feeder for the food industry, providing another options for processors to consider when shopping for one in the market. The company's KoRa-Packmat LB-2 is built to feed trays on a conveyor belt with a variety of sliced food products, including cheeses, vegetables and cut meats. The system then feeds the foam filled plastic trays through to a packaging machine for over-wrapping with a transparent or re-closable flow pack. Depending on the size, the feeding rate can be set at up to 800 products per minute. A compact design allows the feeder to be integrated into most production lines, the company claimed. The LB-2 friction feeder can be used or feeding almost any flat product into a tray, the company claimed. The company has also designed the control panel in stainless steel and then inserted it in a wire protective cage to prevent damage. The LB-2 comes with a synchronised feeding and batch counting system for small and delicate products. The machine is available with an optional stainless steel auto-loader for product feeding. Other options include a start photocell, which allows the machine to be activated remotely.
