Baking firm Glimek has developed a bread line specially developed
for bakers wishing to tap into the trend for in-store bakeries.

The Multiple Bread Line enables the production of buns, breads and baguettes ranging from 100-1,000g weight.

Growing consumer demand for freshly baked goods throughout the day and transparency in the baking process has led more bakeries to begin carrying out production on the premises which can be costly and energy-intensive.

The company said: "The trend on the market for more and more in-store bakeries has engaged Glimek to develop a range especially adapted to the demand of the market."

The Glimek line, which was launched at the IBA trade fair this month, processes 600 products per hour and has an intermediate proving time of six minutes.

In addition, the motorized counter rotating pressure board is particularly suitable for the manufacture of baguettes.

Consisting of a multi-suction dough divider, multi immediate pocket prover and a multi moulder, the line is a complete system for bakeries.

The equipment is an extension to the Industrial Bread Line range which has a capacity of 3,000 pieces per hour for larger bakeries.

According to Glimek the Multiple Bread Line system represents "a line with a high value for money and a very short pay-off."

Glimek forms part of the Swedish Sveba Dahlen group, which also includes Wodschow, and supplies baking machinery worldwide.
