Intralox launches pasta sheet conveyor belt

Related tags New conveyor belt Better Improve Intralox

Intralox has launched a new conveyor belt designed for food
manufacturers using pasteurisers in their production of sheet
pasta.

The company claims that the Series 900 Flush Grip Nub Top belt's large open areas allow steam to easily flow through during the pasteurisation process. The Nub Top surface further improves the finished quality of the product by promoting better release than wire mesh belts.

Intralox says that the belt's modular plastic components also eliminate contamination concerns from metal debris and lubricant use associated with wire belting. In addition, products are less likely to stick on modular plastic belts than traditional steel belt systems.

Additional improvements to product quality and operational efficiency have been made, including improved visual quality through the elimination of colour difference in product and the removal of 'black specks.' The belt has also been designed to reduce downtime and cost of unscheduled maintenance, by removing the need to keep a large inventory of wire belting replacement.
