Four-year-old Novis beats media old guard for publishing awards

Novis, now with almost half a million readers, yesterday earned
broad industry recognition with two further publishing awards,
following on from its best publication prize earlier this year.

At a ceremony in London last night, the UK's Association of Online Publishing (AOP) named Lindsey Partos, editor of, as a finalist for online editor of the year, while sister site was named as one of the previous year's most outstanding website launches.

Earlier this year, also published by Novis, received a finalist's award in the best publication category of the UK's Business Food and Drink Journalist Awards. The judges described as "a ground-breaking initiative and undoubtedly a sign of things to come".

For the latest awards​, AOP received more than 200 entries - a record number - with many coming from Europe's biggest publishing groups. The judges looked for websites that upheld 'the highest standards in online publishing'.

Winner of the business category was David Shepherd, editor of the Reed Business Information website, was the only website to be selected in this category managed by a specialist business-to-business Internet company, rather than an established publishing house.
