Bakemark goes bitesize

Increasing demand for on-the-move snacking - and a penchant for a
little indulgence - among UK consumers has prompted BakeMark UK to
extend its Petit Crolines range of bitesize snacks to include a
fruit assortment.

The savoury Petits Crolines range proved to be a hit with bakers and consumers alike, the company said, and the launch of a sweet variant was only a matter of time. The snacks are available in three varieties: Red Berries (containing cranberry and cherry), Apple and Tropical (containing pineapple, peach, apricot and passion fruit).

British consumers are leading increasingly active lives, and snacking between - or in some cases, instead of, meals is now widespread. But healthy eating concerns are also growing, and the small size of Crolines (just 32g each) allows consumers to indulge themselves without too much in the way of guilt.

According to BakeMark UK, the Crolines can be sold in multipacks as an on the go snack, or used by cafés, restaurants and hotels as a novel accompaniment to tea or coffee, or with a cold drink for a child. They are quick to prepare, can be served hot or cold, and only need baking for 15 minutes from frozen. Each pack contains 30 Crolines of each flavour.

Kerrie Hampson, BakeMark UK's head of marketing, said: "The introduction of the Petits Crolines Fruit Assortment is a natural step for BakeMark UK as demand continues to grow for sweet treats. The key benefits of these delicious snacks are their versatility - they will appeal to kids and adults alike, at any time of day - and convenience."
