Advanced Labelling Systems has reported that this years PPMA show has proved to be a success, with a succession of enquiries and 'high calibre visitors'.

The company reported that great interest was taken in its S.C.A.D.A (Supervisory control and data acquisition) shown in conjunction with the ALS 3138, demonstrating side apply, the ALS 2038 demonstrating front apply and the pallet labeller. These three versatile labellers printed and applied bar code labels to products, whilst the S.C.A.D.A software (designed to monitor machinery status throughout the entire manufacturing process) showed whether a product had been labelled properly or had been rejected.

The labelling solutions were demonstrated by a continuous oval conveyor, with the assistance of inspection and rejection systems. S.C.A.D.A software controls, delivers, configures, automates and monitors the entire manufacturing process permitting ever higher levels of automation and therefore increased productivity and profitability the company claims.

The ALS 600 mainline labeller was the only back and front labeller at the show with a centrally driven conveyor chain linked with the top hold down belt, for stability and precision labelling. The flexible modular design of this labeller is said to allow a wide range of labelling heads, hot foil and thermal coders, bar code verifying systems and various sensors to be mounted on the base frame, providing a suitable configuration for all types of high volume product labelling applications.

The company also showed its Tray-Fix labelling system and demonstrated its tube labelling on the standFor further information on Advanced Labelling Systems (ALS) labelling product contact the sales team.
