We take a look at the freshly elected officials for the 2003-2004

be inaugurated at the organisation's annual meeting later this
month.

A research chemist at the US department of agriculture's agricultural research service at the grain marketing and production research center (GMPRC) gets the top slot. George Lookhart, who currently serves on the AACC Fellows Committee - is the new AACC president-elect.

Khalil Khan - a professor in the department of cereal and food sciences at North Dakota State University - is the new AACC director. Khan has served as an associate editor for Cereal Chemistry, co-chair of the Protein and Amino Acid Technical Committee, and as a member of the AACC Education Committee.

Filip Arnaut, from the bakery ingredients company Puratos, is also on board as a AACC director. According to the AACC, Arnaut's function as group long-term research director at Puratos means he has a strong focus on promoting collaborative research with universities, research centers, clients, and suppliers.

In addition, a long timer of American Maize/Cerestar before retiring, Sakharam Patil, has been appointed as ACCC director.

James Dexter, a senior research scientist at the Canadian Grain Commission grain research laboratory in Winnipeg will begin his term as AACC president at the end of the AACC annual meeting later this month.
