BakeMark International has launched a range of margarine products to be manufactured by Unipro, the Belgian TPM-certified operating unit. Bakemark believes that the Unipro range, which comprises three key brands, will benefit the pastry, cake and creaming industries.

The company claims that the St Honoré brand uses advanced flavouring technology, and is suitable for all bakery environments. St Honoré Feuilletage/Korst, which is being marketed as a premium margarine, is made with honey and flavouring for improved taste in the finished product.

The Iris range, on the other hand, has been developed specifically for industrial bakeries. Iris Rouge, for example, is a confectionery margarine suitable for cake dough and rich-yeasted doughs.

The third range is Unipro's Trio, which is being marketed as a general margarine designed for high-street bakers and suitable for a variety of recipes. Within the Trio range, Korst margarine is ideal for puff and Danish pastries while Trio Toer is suitable for croissant production.

Unipro's cake margarine range cross all three brands and comprises of Trio Cake, St Honoré Cake and Iris Rouge - soft margarines that are ideal for cake and yeast doughs. BakeMark believes that these products have quick-melting and good whipping properties, and can add a buttery flavour and aroma to finished products. BakeMark claims that all three ranges provide bakers with a supple and robust fat that does not shrink during processing.

Trio Crème, St Honoré Crème/Garniture and Iris Jaune Crème are soft creaming margarines designed for whipping and creaming in the production of confectionery fillings and cake batters.

"By drawing on the expertise of Unipro, one of CSM's European margarine suppliers, BakeMark International can offer high quality bakery margarines to customers all over the world," said Andrew Adam, marketing manager at BakeMark International.

"In today's competitive environment, bakers have to be assured of two key attributes in margarines. First, they must handle and process efficiently, and second, they must impart good texture, mouthfeel and taste to the finished product.

"BakeMark International's varied range provides real qualitative benefits to all our customers, from artisans to large industrial bakers. Our commitment to them is demonstrated by Unipro's TPM certification, which pays testament to the quality of our suppliers, production and logistics."

BakeMark International represents the international sales and marketing interests of CSM Bakery Supplies Europe and CSM Bakery Supplies North America in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
