Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation, the US division of German based Windmoller and Holscher, will exhibit its latest 3-layer Varex blown film line at this year's NPE in Chicago.

The 63" (1,600 mm) line is equipped with the Multicool air ring and will be demonstrated live. Featuring Opitfil P2 automatic gauge profile control, a capacitive thickness gauge, multiple-component gravimetric control and the ISP module for integrated quality control, the system produces high quality film. The newly designed touchscreen operator console Procontrol TS completes the line.

Additionally, and for the first time at a US show, the line will be equipped with the newly developed Multinip oscillating haul-off combined with Nostic, the non-contact turning bar system.

The Varex will be demonstrated with the Filmatic T dual stacked turret winder, with a novel automatic roll and shaft handling system. Because of its width constancy, the company says that the line will run trimless.

The company says that the system has been pre-sold to a US processor before the exhibition.

The Windmoller & Holscher portfolio encompasses blown and cast film lines, flexographic and gravure printing presses as well as finishing machines, multiwall equipment, paper and plastic bag and carrier bag machines and FFS packaging systems.

The company will be available at the Chicago NPE, South Hall, Stand No. 1885 between June 23 -27.
