Bakery partnership strengthened
products, Arkady Craigmillar and Croda Food Services, have extended
their business partnership.
Two of the UK's leading suppliers of bakery ingredients and products, Arkady Craigmillar and Croda Food Services, have extended their business partnership to include the sales and distribution of Croda Food Services' specialist oils, emulsions and release agents to in-store bakery operations in the UK.
The agreement, which took effect from 6 May 2003, combines Arkady Craigmillar's existing relationship with in-store bakery retailers and Croda Food Services' specialist expertise in the manufacture of quality bakery ingredients.
This complements an existing agreement, in which Arkady Craigmillar supplies Croda Food Services' products to the Irish market.
Arkady Craigmillar sales and marketing director John Lindsay said: "Our extensive knowledge of the market means we are well equipped to deliver a premium quality service to Croda's in-store bakery customers.
"The existing partnership with Croda Food Services has proved highly successful, bringing advantages for both our businesses and customers. The extended agreement will further capitalise on the strong synergies in terms of our existing product range and customer base."
Croda Food Services managing director John Dryden added: "The initial agreement with Arkady Craigmillar helped to assure the long term future of Croda's well established and successful product range in Ireland.
"We are confident that the development of the agreement to include the in-store bakery market will further enhance the partnership and meet the needs of our customers in this sector."
Arkady Craigmillar has been responsible for the sales and distribution of a number of Croda Food Services' major brands to the Irish market since January 2002.
These include Starspray, a release emulsion designed primarily for in-store and craft bakers, Greetin, a high quality vegetable oil based release agent for highly automated, high volume production and Greetin XT, a speciality release emulsion designed for difficult release situations.
Croda Food Services is a member of Croda International, a world leader in oleo and emulsion technology.
