SWF Companies has launched the TF 400V, which is said to provide automatic tray forming solutions for hundreds of designs and is capable of producing up to 3600 trays per hour.
The TF 400V's exceptional speed is matched only by its versatility, the company says. Dairy products, fresh produce, meat and poultry products, plastic bottles and confectionery items are some of the industries that the system is aimed at within the food and beverage sector.
As a mainstay within SWF's product line, the company says that the TF 400V's compact design makes it portable and thus easy to move to different production areas. Furthermore, the small footprint is said to enable the system to be easily integrated with various tray packing systems and other secondary packaging equipment, to form an integrated packaging line. Because of this versatility the system is said to be suited for most one-piece tray designs.
Simple in design, including a mechanical glue system and no external air requirements, the TF 400V is available with a number of options, allowing the machine to meet the specific needs of each customer. Available options include a vacuum blank feed, large capacity hopper holding up to 400 B-Flute blanks, an automatic lidding attachment that inserts the tray into an HSC cover and large capacity glue pots.
The system is also available in a Kwik-Change version (TF 400VK) for faster changeovers and a wide base model (TF 600V or VK) is also available to accommodate larger tray designs.
