Ishida launches mid-range multi weigher

Ishida Europe, a leading supplier of complete weighing and packing line solutions, has announced the launch of a new range ofhigh performance mid-range multihead weighers.
Suitable for a large number of food and non-food applications, the new EM series utilisesstate-of-the-art weighing technology to provide high efficiency, which the company claims will make for a high level return on investment.
A variety of specifications - suchas embossed surfaces, various feeder and discharge chute angles and different types of radial feeders and hoppers - are available to meet the precise needs of individual manufacturers and packers.
Many components of the new EM range have been designed to maximise operational consistency while reducing product giveaway and minimisingdowntime for cleaning and maintenance. A loadcell within the dispersion feeder table accurate product feed, while high speed stepper motors permit precise control of hopper gate movements to maximise weighing speed and accuracy. Using digital filtering technology, the EM is able to maintain accuracy at high speeds, while a digital signal processor (DSP) allows the accurate processing of weigh signals, even under difficult weighing conditions - the company says.
All hoppers are made of heavy gauge stainless steel for enhanced strength and reduced noise levels. The hoppers can be individuallyremoved, cleaned and replaced while the machine is in operation, without interrupting production. The EM weigher's remote control unit (RCU) hasbeen designed to provide a simple operator / weigher interface, with multiple pre-set parameters available at the touch of a button tofacilitate fast and simple product changeovers.
Built to IP66specification (waterproof models), EM weighers can be easily cleaned down with high pressure. A total of eight models is available, designed to suit different requirements and industry sectors.
