Spilva, the largest Latvian condiment manufacturer, has increased sales of its range of cold sauces and salad dressings with metal closures from Closures Europe, a subsidiary of Crown Holdings.

The bright red 38 mm Medium Twist Button closures are said to enhance the brand identity of Spilva's products and visually complement its condiments.

The company, which has one of the most modern food plants in Eastern Europe, says that it has also increased production output and improved line efficiency with Crown's closures and technical support.

"Crown worked with us through the entire process," said Dana Ercina, marketing director for Spilva. "The company's technical experts helped us install four capping machines, and followed up with regular line visits and support."

Spilva currently produces approximately 100 different condiments, including a variety of salad dressings, curry and chili sauces and currently sells its products to grocery stores and food services across Latvia.

Crown Holdings is a leading supplier of packaging products to consumer marketing companies around the world. World headquarters are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
