Kappa Packaging acquires Grenland Papp

Kappa Packaging has acquired the Norwegian corrugated board
manufacturer, Grenland Papp. The company will be merged with the
Norwegian sales arm, Kappa Förenade Well, to form a new group,
Kappa Grenland.

Kappa Packaging has acquired the Norwegian corrugated board manufacturer, Grenland Papp. The company will be merged with the Norwegian sales arm, Kappa Förenade Well, to form a new group, Kappa Grenland.

Grenland Papp, located in Porsgrunn, south west of Oslo, was started in 1960 and currently has 25 employees. With its present production of about 7 million m2, Kappa Packaging will now be able to serve its growing number of customers in Norway via the new Kappa Grenland subsidiary.

With this acquisition, Kappa Packaging will have a 10 per cent market share in Norway. This enlarged presence of the group in Norway, will also offer major Norwegian customers access to the Kappa Packaging network throughout Europe.

The Kappa Packaging Group​ is one of Europe's largest innovative companies operating in the production, development and sale of containerboard, solid board, corrugated and solid board packagings, graphic and speciality board. With a workforce numbering around 17,000 employees, the company achieveed sales of more than €3.0 billion. It has 115 production sites spread over 17 European countries.
