US seminar tackles packaging issues

In the US, Women in Packaging and Canon Communications have teamed up to produce a seminar aimed at providing professional guidance, leadership tactics and packaging know-how for industry professionals.
The WMPKG's Leadership Summit and SouthPack will span three days from the 30 April to 1 May, at the Georgian Congress Center. The organisers say that those registering for the event now will receive a complimentary VIP passto SouthPack.
As a precursor to the event, WMPKG will be holiding a leadership summit on 29 April from 9:00 to 17:00 at The Westin Peachtree Plaza WMPKG, giving attendees theopportunity to meet real people with real experiences.
WMPKG and industry leaders will be assembled to offer career transformation and professionaladvice, career management and advancement tips, networking secrets, andinformation for developing a personal marketing strategy. There will also be a bonus 10-minute career makeover.
Fees for the event are $129 (€118) for member and $179 for non-members. Registration can be conducted online.The event will showcase design advances for the market as well as highlighting key marketing tools. To help companies stay current with changes in theindustry, suppliers will be on hand displaying their products and servicesto the show's expected 7,500 visitors.
Additional suppliers from packagingsectors such as consumer products, food & beverage, electronics, industrial,cosmetic & personal care, and medical will also be on hand - many grouped together in SouthPack's three product pavilions: Cosmetic & Personal Care Packaging, Pharmaceutical & Nutraceutical, Packaging, and Material Handling/Logistics suppliers.
