NCLI gets 'superior' rating from US bakery group

Nutraceutical Clinical Laboratories International has said that its
NuPreserv manufacturing facility has received a 'superior' rating
from the American Institute of Baking International.

Nutraceutical Clinical Laboratories International, a preservative and nutraceutical products company, today announced that its NuPreserv manufacturing facility has received a 'superior' rating from the American Institute of Baking International (AIB), the global baking industry's leading food safety auditor.

NCCL​ earned AIB's highest rating by receiving a perfect scorefor its operational methods and personnel practices, and scoring extremely well in the four other categories of the AIB audit. The audit was conducted on January 31, 2003, and was based on the criteria set forth in the AIBConsolidated Standards for Food Safety.

"Our superior score on the AIB audit illustrates our commitment to providing the highest quality preservative to the baking and beverage industries,"​ said Gary L. Harrison, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer ofNCCL. "NuPreserv has the potential to benefit cookie, bread and cake mixcompanies worldwide, and AIB's recognition of our manufacturing process willhelp us raise the preservative's visibility with these companies."

NuPreserv is NCCL's preservative that extends the shelf life of food products and beverages. NCCL has been supplying NuPreserv to a major US bakery over the past year, and currently is doing extensive testing with several domestic and international bakeries to incorporate the preservative into theirproducts.

The company also is targeting the global beverage industry afterinternal tests demonstrated that NuPreserv keeps beverages fresh withoutaffecting their color, odor or taste.

Incorporated in 1999, Nutraceutical Clinical Laboratories International is a company that researches, manufactures and markets preservative and nutraceutical products. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, the company has a Preservative Division and a Medical Division, which includes the wholly ownedsubsidiary Health Care Direct Services (HCD). The Preservative unitfocuses on developing, manufacturing and marketing NuPreserv, apreservative that extends the shelf life of food products and beverages. The Medical unit focuses on developing NuPreserv's medical applications and manufacturing and distributing HCD's nutraceutical products across the US.
