Arca Systems has received an order from the German company Gerolsteiner Brunnen to supply a new type of mineral water crate.

Arca Systems has had several successful projects on the German market with their bottle crates which are developed for modern logistic flows. The new order has a contract value of more than €8 million.

Gerolsteiner Brunnen is a market leader of mineral water and delivers more than 900 million litres per year. The company is well known also outside Germany because of its extensive exports.

Arca Systems has developed a new 6 x 1.5 l PET bottle crate in close co-operation with the customer. The crate is fully recyclable and has a special construction to meet the qualifications for efficient handling. The new crate will be produced in Arca Systems' German factory in Schwerin, and production starts mid December 2002.

"With this new crate we will contribute in strengthening and developing our customer's leading position in the national and international market, and also further strengthen our own position within the Beverage & Food segments,"​ said Wiking Henricsson, president & CEO of Arca Systems.

Arca Systems operates in 30 countries in Europe, North America and Asia, and is a market leader in products and systems for materials handling. Arca Systems' head office is located in Perstorp, southern Sweden. The company has a turnover of SEK 1.8 billion (€198m), and approximately 900 employees.
