The Mexican Packaging Association has given design awards to four
PET juice beverage bottles sold by Industrias Graham Innopack.

The Mexican Packaging Association (La Asociacion Mexicana de Envase y Embalaje) has given design awards to four PET juice beverage bottles sold by Industrias Graham Innopack, a joint venture of Graham Packaging Latin America and Industrias Innopack.

Three of the winning bottles-the 355-millilitre Quatro bottle, the 1.5-liter Quatro bottle, and the 8-ounce Magic bottle - are made for Coca-Cola. Quatro is a fruit-flavoured beverage marketed to adults in the Mexican market. Magic is a fruit-flavoured beverage primarily marketed to children.

The other winning bottle-the 500-millilitre Be-Light H2O bottle - is made for Sabritas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepsi/Frito-Lay. Be-Light is a fruit-flavoured diet beverage aimed at health-conscious consumers.

The Mexican Packaging Association will enter the four bottles in the WorldStar awards competition.

"Consumer product companies in Mexico are turning more and more to the use of custom-designed PET containers to project a high-quality image and achieve a distinctive market presence,"​ said Michael Nguyen, general director of Industrias Graham Innopack. "We are providing our customers with sophisticated design capability that leverages the expertise of Graham Packaging Company. These award-winning bottles were the result of global teamwork."

Based in Mexico City, Innopack manufactures plastic bottles, PET preform, and closures primarily for beverage products. The company currently operates 17 plants in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and the United States.

Based in York, Graham Packaging designs and makes customized blow-molded plastic containers for branded food and beverage products, household and personal care products, and automotive lubricants. The company currently operates 55 plants and employs approximately 4,000 people throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America.
