Tear tape company P P Payne is supplying its customised Supastrip Impact printed tape to leading Swiss confectioner Halter Bonbons to reinforce product differentiation for its Halter Bonbons range.

SupastripImpact combines the easy opening benefits of regular Supastrip with opportunities for consumer communication.

Halter Bonbons required the tape to carry a message that the Halter Bonbons range was sugar-free. Although the tooth-friendly logo appears on the pack, the tear tape reinforces the message on-shelf and at point-of-opening.

The 4mm tape - in red text on a yellow background - has been printed in French - "sans sucre" - and German - "zuckerfrei" - for these markets.

P P Payne claims that the technology offers a cost-effective and flexible alternative to printed overwrap film, providing an and eye-catching promotional tool. Incorporating advanced print registration, the tape can be printed in up to 8 colours, with designs customised to match current campaigns.

The company also offers a design support service with modern digital graphics systems and ISDN links for instant communication and fast turnaround times.
