GSE Systems, a leading provider of real-time simulation and process control solutions for the food processing industry, has released a new version of its widely used Process Automation System, D/3.

As with previous versions, the new D/3 11.0 will control and automate process plant operations, enabling users to improve manufacturing safety, throughput and consistency while achieving cost efficiency.

The D/3's open architecture facilitates the integration of a number new field devices. Enhancements include improved alarm handling and advanced system diagnostics, enabling users to diagnose plant problems rapidly and efficiently. Additionally the Enhanced Alarm Management feature offers the ability to change alarm levels based on process state and/or alarm priority.

The Company is also introducing two new more cost effective process controllers based on the use of PCI back plane technology and improved diagnostics. These controllers enable users to automate applications not considered justifiable in the past.

GSE Systems is a real-time simulation, process control, and automation company with three decades of experience, over 500 applications, and 200 customers in more than 30 countries. The Company is headquartered in Maryland, USA, and has offices in Japan and Sweden.
