Crown Cork & Seal sells metal closures business
assets of its Danish subsidiary, Crown Cork Company Scandinavia, to
Pelliconi Scandinavia. The Danish business manufactures metal
closures for glass bottles to the brewery and soft drink industries
in Scandinavia.
Crown Cork & Seal has completed the sale of the metal closure assets of its Danish subsidiary, Crown Cork Company Scandinavia, to Pelliconi Scandinavia, the company said.
Located in Taastrup, Denmark, Crown Cork Company Scandinavia manufactures, sells and distributes metal closures (crowns) for glass bottles to the brewery and soft drink industries in Scandinavia. Revenues for the business, which employs approximately 40 people, were approximately €8 million in 2001.
The subsidiary also sells and distributes plastic closures on behalf of Crown Obrist, based in Switzerland. In the future, the plastic closure activity will be handled directly by Crown Obrist from Switzerland.
Crown Cork & Seal is supplies packaging products to consumer marketing companies around the world. Its headquarters are in Philadelphia, US.
