European group acquires Canada's Wulftec

M.J. Maillis Group has announced the acquisition of stretch wrapping equipment manufacturer Wulftec International Inc., of Ayer's Cliff, Québec, Canada.
M.J. Maillis Group, Athens, Greece, is a multinational group of companies involved in the manufacturing and distribution of complete "end of the line" packaging solutions, many of which are used in the food and beverage industry.
"This first North American acquisition will enable us to expand our position in the packaging equipment market outside Europe," says Michael J. Maillis, chairman of the board and CEO of the Maillis Group. "Wulftec will serve as the stepping-stone into the North American market."
