Allied Bakeries boss reveals what it takes to be leader of the pack
Allied Bakeries operations director, Nick Law, tells FoodManufacture.co.uk what makes a good manager. In an age of skills shortages, Law tells Mike Stones that the company looks for leaders, who drive staff to achieve more at a higher level collectively than as a "group of individuals".

"If we didn't have the great people we do in our business, we wouldn't be delivering the service levels we do; the quality of Kingsmill bread. Really, they rise above all the challenges that our industry gives us and really deliver," Law says.

For more on Nick Law and Allied Bakeries, don’t miss the Big Interview in next month's edition of our sister magazine Food Manufacture published on Tuesday, September 6. Here, Law talks frankly about the challenges facing one of Britain’s top bakeries and how his firm is responding to them.
