Multigrain and whole grain snacks with low levels of saturated fat, total fat and salt can be produced as shredded, expanded or cracker snacks. Baker Perkins has a wide range of successful technologies at work in the snack industry. Using our technology and expertise, installed lines can be adapted and expanded on a modular 'building block' basis to bolt on extra products and processes. Many lines are based on twin-screw extrusion, a versatile process allowing different grains and other ingredients such as vegetables, nuts, seeds, pulses and fruits to be processed.
