Nestle Box Bowls / Nestle

Nestlé Box Bowls

Nestlé Box Bowls let consumers enjoy their cereal straight from the box, milk and all.

The cardboard cube packaging (1.05oz to 1.4oz boxes) contains a ‘specially designed’ inner bag that retains moisture.

Brands include Shredded Wheat Bite Size, Nesquik, Original and Frosted Shreddies, and Multigrain and Honey Cheerios.

Cereal Partners Worldwide, which sells Nestlé and General Mills cereals in Europe and elsewhere outside the US, created the six-pack to give consumers an easy, out-of-home breakfast option.

The box lets retailers stack the individually-sold boxes (with a RRP of £1.99/$2.63) on tight shelves. The ovewrap-wrap film can also be recycled, a spokesperson confirmed to BakeryandSnacks.

Honeybuns Vegan Cakes

Vegan cake for everyone

UK vegan pastry company Honeybuns has announced three new flavors for its gluten-free and vegan cake lineup.

Millionaire’s Slice features date-based caramel and a thick layer of dark chocolate; the Dark Chocolate Brownie comes sprinkled with dark chocolate flakes; and the Oaty Raspberry Bar offers a pancake-esque texture with raspberry flavor.

The individually wrapped brownies have a RRP of £1.50 to £2.75 ($1.98 to $3.62). Retailers can purchase an entire traybake for in-house slicing, and those slices typically have an RRP of £1.50 to £2.50 ($1.98 to $3.29).

Honeybuns uses ingredients including date paste, flaxseed, virgin coconut oil and coconut milk to craft its gluten-free brownies, flapjacks and shortbreads. The vegan cakes account for nearly half of Honeybuns’ portfolio in sales.
