DISPATCHES FROM EMPACK 2014, STOCKHOLM
Delight Packaging Oy
Delight Packaging Oy originated as a business unit from Stora Enso, but is now owned by Finnish company Suomen Kerta Oy.
Delight Packaging makes and sells hybrid packages, which are made of paper but enhanced by a plastic coating and rim. The packaging can be recycled in the same way as a milk carton, and also has a lower carbon footprint than CPET or aluminium, the company claims.
It can be used for modified atmosphere packaging, and can be heated in both conventional and microwave ovens. It is commonly used as packaging for ready meals.
Delight currently exports more than 75% of its production, with key destinations being the UK, Australia, the Netherlands and Sweden.
