As the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos head into battle on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the nation’s biggest food and beverage brands will battle for supremacy during the commercial breaks.   

So as it's Friday, and well, no one's in the mood for serious news, or work, we thought we'd check out their ads... Let us know what you think...

Nestlé: We can work it out… 

First up is food giant Nestlé, a Super Bowl virgin, which is using its 30 seconds in the limelight to promote its new Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups - which are going head-to-head with America’s #1 chocolate confectionery brand Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups…

Chobani : Bear necessities…

Another first-timer is Greek yogurt king Chobani, which is using its inaugural Super Bowl ad to home in on its ‘natural’ credentials. Its 60-second ad takes “a humorous look at what happens when Mother Nature, represented by a discerning bear that comes out of hibernation and is unleashed in a local supermarket…” ​ 

Dannon Oikos: Getting steamy

Not to be outdone is rival Dannon, which first advertised at the Super Bowl in 2012, and has drafted in John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier – the cast of Full House - for its 2014 offering. At first it's sexy - then, well, less so …
