Butterball turkey shortage is for the birds
Turkey giant Butterball got some bad news right before the busy holiday season: a poor crop of birds meant the company would be short on fresh birds for US Thanksgiving tables. However, the company assured retailers and consumers they had plenty of turkeys on ice to ensure American families wouldn't go hungry at their celebrations.
