What is it? “It’s a low carbohydrate bread. The bread claims to contain 70% less carbohydrates than standard bread with on-pack marketing stating there are only 3g of carbs per slice. The company has replaced a portion of the flour with eggs leading to a higher protein content and lower carb content.”
What makes it so innovative? “Low carb trends really appeal to weight conscious consumers and by default bread is regarded as high in carbohydrates. It’s an interesting take on health and wellness and is very different to high fiber breads which are becoming generic now.”
