Value for money with a dash of chocolate
New price-marked cake and cake bars will be launched at the end of the year for a six month period in response to the consumer trend for ‘visible value for money’. The range includes Galaxy, Mars, Jaffa Cakes, Jamaica Ginger and Lyon’s Golden Syrup all priced up at £1.49 ($2.39).
The McVitie's flagship digestive biscuit brand will also see extra milk and dark chocolate added to its current formulation from January through a chocolate chip product launch. This move will be backed up with a heavyweight TV marketing campaign and in-store sampling.
