Four machines from TNA worldwide will be on show at the Total Processing and Packaging Show held in Birmingham, UK 15-18 May. TNA's robag Rotary Flat Jaw vertical form, fill and seal bagger has been modified to include a delta scale, date coder and metal detector, allowing it to form block bottom bags suitable for snack food packaging, biscuits, confectionery and loose products such as potatoes. The system includes a conveyor which ensures the bags remain upright after filling, minimising the potential for damage and wastage. Also at Total will be TNA's Rotary Triple Jaw VFFS bagger, used to manufacture pillow-type bags for packaging on the production line. The machine offers speeds of up to 220bpm and, according to the company, is ideal for producing small bags for flat bag widths of 180mm. TNA group marketing manager Shayne De la Force said: "Our exhibit at this show will display TNA's capabilities to produce several different types of bags suitable for a variety of industries. Our machines can be easily suited to meet a variety of applications." In addition to the bagging systems, TNA will be displaying the Roflo distribution system at the trade show. According to the company: "The roflo distributes a wide product range, dependent on the product's coefficient of friction, and can be fully configured to meet the needs of any food industry. Its gentle motion and gateless distribution ensures less product breakage and loss of flavour."
