Sealer boosts line speed up to 200 trays a minute
minute, according to its manufacturer.
In a bid to cut costs, more and more food manufacturers are looking to increase the speed of their processing and packaging lines. They are also automating tasks that were previously done by hand.
Ishida Europe claims its new QX-1100 traysealer is the fastest twin lane machine available in the industry.
It features a fast tooling changeover design, a way of handling products that need a gentle treatment and compact dimensions, the company said.
"Innovations include servomotor control, an innovative gripper arm design and advanced software," the company stated in a press release.
The machine also integrates checkweighing and gas analysis functions, together with a web cam and product recognition camera. Rejected packs are removed prior to sealing, saving film and allowing trays to be re-used where possible," the company stated.
Ishida has also released a mini convenience line for fresh ready meals. The line features Ishida's fresh food weigher, specifically designed to handle sticky products.
A new tray denester presents the trays under a dipping funnel filling system. To minimise waste, an integrated checkweigher carries out a final check before the tray passes through an Ishida QX-775 tray sealer.
