Wrinkle-free film launched in European market

Sealed Air says its Cryovac Adapt film has a low haze, high gloss finish. The film is made with a special formula that "guarantees" a wrinkle free pack, the company claimed.

"Cryovac Adapt is a specially designed shrink-wrap film developed to reduce sealing time and thereby significantly increasing productivity,"​ the company stated in a press release today.

Cryovac Adapt is a clear film that can be printed in any colour required and is available in three strength grades.

The film can be processed on any shrink equipment, including Shanklin shrink wrappers. It can be used to wrap light to medium weight items, from stationery and DVDs through to confectionery and toys.

"The film has a high resistance to tears and punctures and shrinks at low temperatures, therefore less energy is needed to run the tunnel and it allows shrink wrapping of temperature sensitive products,"​ the company stated. "Its reduced sealing temperature also lowers maintenance of the sealing jaw."​

The film is capable of being used on machines with an output of up to 100 packs per minute.
