The Food and Drink Federation (FDF), which represents the UK food and drink manufacturing industry, has launched its new Out of Home Group website - www.outofhome.org - dedicated to providing key facts and statistics about the out of home and foodservice sector in the UK, an industry valued at £24.1 billion (€34.8bn) industry.
Accessible to both the general public and Federation members, the site provides resources which include key industry statistics, market trends, links to related websites and articles from market researchers.
Martin Paterson, FDF deputy director general said: "The Out of Home Group website is an exciting new addition to the Federation's suite of services. We are constantly looking at ways to improve the information available on our industry to members and the public. This site provides a one-stop-shop on a significant sector."
Ian Stone, FDF's Out of Home Group communications chairman said: "The Group recently completed a full evaluation of its role within the foodservice market. As a result we identified the need for an authoritative and definitive source of information on the growing out of home sector and the importance of a concerted manufacturer's voice within it. The website is the first stage of the Group's ambitious plans to provide this source and voice."
