In a joint design and manufacturing operation, RPC Bebo Plastik and RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Bouxwiller have combined to supply a 68mm twin tub for Homann Feinkost, the leading German specialist for gourmet salads.

The new Dress'Up range of modern salad dressings is available in a double-pack containing two 75ml portions, which are held together by a decorated cardboard bridge. By keeping the two portions separate, consumers can choose to use both at once, or to split the pack between two meals. This convenient approach also projects a modern image to appeal to younger consumer groups, the companies claim.

The design also maximises shelf appeal in the chill cabinet where the dressings, which contain no preservatives, have to be placed.

The pack, manufactured at Bouxwiller's production facility in Germany, is produced in clear PP and was developed specifically for use on fast, modern filling lines. The pack is delivered by Bebo as part of an existing supply arrangement with Homann.

"The Dress'Up container demonstrates the obvious advantages of cooperation between RPC sites in providing a complete packaging service for the customer," explained Peter Falk, RPC Bebo's sales manager, new business. "This method of mutual working has immediate benefits for both sites, as well as the customer."
