A machine which automates the cutting, unwrapping and removal of polythene wrappers around can end sticks has been introduced by UK company Barry-Wehmiller Europe.
The BWE Unwrapper is claimed to make shrink-wrap polythene removal easier and less expensive. Wrapping of can end sticks in shrink wrap polythene is on the increase in Continental Europe. The system for Fleetwood Machines may also be retrofitted for other non-Fleetwood machines.
Also available through BWE is a Can End Stick Wrapper from Techno Machinery.
