Data archiving and document management plays an essential role in the food supply and packaging chain. US company Easy Software announced this week that it is to implement an archiving and imaging system at food packaging giant Pactiv Corporation.
According to a recent statement Pactiv was looking for a highly scalable archiving and imaging solution that could streamline its SAP data archiving and SAP Accounts Payable business processes while reducing its overall costs. Pactiv will replace its existing imaging solution with the Easy Software scalable solution that can automate much of the data archiving and document management processes in SAP while providing SAP data retrieval capabilities and web access.
"A number of solutions were evaluated and Easy Software was selected because of its functionality with SAP, its ease of use and its cost," said Monique Hines, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Pactiv.
"We will be replacing Pactiv's existing imaging solution so that we can easily migrate their stored images into Easy Archive and link those images to the appropriate transactions in SAP using our SmartLink product," said Lynn Hogg, Easy Software President.
