Latvian packaging producer Langa will open a plant for the
production of confectionery packaging in St Petersburg this month,
the company has confirmed.

Latvian packaging producer Langa will open a plant for the production of confectionery packaging in St Petersburg this month, the company has confirmed.

Langa invested $2 million in the plant that takes up 3,500 square metres, reported the Interfax news agency.Initially the facility will make corrugated paper lining but later several lines for the production of elastic bands for confectionary packaging will be installed.

Langa said the plant in St.Petersburg will be its first production facility outside Latvia. Until now the company has only had a representation office in St.Petersburg. Langa also has representations in Moscow and Dusseldorf.

Langa was founded in 1991 and produces packaging for small manufactured goods and food.
