Nestle lined up for Sustainable Packaging conference

Thec 2012 Sustainable Packaging Conference organised by FoodProductionDaily.com​, takes place on 8 March at 3.00 pm CET / 9.00 am EST.

The event features a series of webinars from high profile speakers at Nestle, Datamonitor and others, all of which can be viewed from your computer screen free of charge.

The line-up​

Julian Caroll, former managing director at EUROPEN, kicks off the programme with a market overview and future trends in sustainable packaging.

Next to take the virtual podium is Philippe Roulet, head of global Packaging, materials and training, at Nestle. He will discuss a holistic approach to product packaging and how to manage source optimisation through the value chain.

His presentation is followed by a talk from Tom Egan, vice president, Industry Services for PMMI. Mr Egan reveals innovative packaging technologies that he claims can promote sustainability.

The next double-header discusses more technologies that will lead the future of sustainable packaging.

Andrew Streeter, director and research fellow at Datamonitor, and Andy Sweetman from the European Bioplastics Association talk about future challenges and the importance of active and intelligent packaging.
