The Frozen Bean to print labels directly onto its packaging
The Frozen Bean has partnered with Domino, to print labels directly onto its packaging thanks to changes in the law in countries such as Saudi Arabia, India and the Middle East.

The company makes specialty desserts, beverages, and own branded products from its HQ and manufacturing facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

It also has domestic and internationally based private label customers in Mexico, Australia, Saudi Arabia, UK, Denmark, South Africa, Chile, Korea and Ireland.

Over 70% of our business is done overseas. International law is changing in countries like Saudi Arabia, India and Middle Eastern countries. We’re no longer able to put labels on the bag so now we have to print directly onto the bag itself,” said John Bae, president/CEO, The Frozen Bean.

John Malette, sector development manager, Domino, claims flexible film packaging regulations are constantly changing.

By marrying the flexible film packaging machine at the point of wrapping or bagging, our V-Series printer can digitally “overprint” variable information - like net weight, expiration date, country of origin, product flavor and ingredient lists - at the time the product is filled,” he added.

As a result, the V-Series reduces the need for custom film inventory at the point of packaging, allowing variable information to be printed as needed, based on customer demand. This can improve response time and eliminate stock-outs due to running short on packaging film.”

The Frozen Bean utilizes Domino’s V320i Thermal Transfer to print drink mix flavor labels on the front of its bags and nutritional information on the back.

It also uses Domino S-Series, D-Series, C-Series, M-Series, G-Series.
